Barbra Summerhill has proudly called this region home for over 10 years . An entrepreneur at heart, Barbra brings experience in finance and mortgages, along with a natural talent for connecting people—especially when it comes to sourcing fresh, high-quality local meats.
About five years ago, she began collaborating closely with local ranchers to offer grass-fed Black Angus beef and garden-fed pork to her family, friends, and the wider community . In 2023, she officially launched Summerhill Local Meats and became a licensed livestock dealer in Idaho, making it her mission to bring the best of Southeast Idaho ranchers directly to your table
Barbra partners with trusted, top-notch butchers—Woodcock Custom Meats (Rexburg) and Grub Line Custom Meats (Firth)—to provide fully customizable cuts. She ensures customers never receive pre-boxed meat; instead, they work directly with the butcher to decide on cut preferences, thickness, and packaging.
She invests time visiting local ranches, inspecting operations, and verifying animal welfare and land stewardship practices. Barbra’s dedication to quality, transparency, and humane treatment has garnered her an exceptional reputation:
